Lyndsey McIntyre
LPC
Hi there, I’m Lyndsey
I’m excited to be stepping into the field of therapy with a foundation rooted in the world of first responders, PTSD and chronic illnesses. My transition to first responder care has come from personal relationships with military, police and firefighters and has brought me a deeper understanding and care for this population.
My style derives from a solution-focused approach, rooted in mutual understanding and confidence building. I often use psychoeducation and humor in session to build a trusting foundation, helping you remain in the driver's seat of your life.
I have a background in vocational rehabilitation counseling and art therapy, with a Master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation & Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University & a Bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy & Ceramics from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Outside of work I enjoy working on cars, reading and spending time outdoors!

THE LIVING PONO APPROACH
in life, Pono stands for righteousness and balance
In Hawaiian, if a person is living Pono, it means that they have struck the right balance within themselves, with other things, places, and the people in their lives.
We take that same approach when helping you to grow.
