Karson McEwen
LPC
Hi there, I’m Karson
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Park University. I also hold a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I have gained experience in school settings, not for profits counseling centers, and social services. I work with children, adolescents, adults and families. I often utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy within sessions to build confidence, foster emotional well-being, and empower you to navigate life's challenges more effectively.
As your therapist, I am devoted to supporting you on your individual journey toward mental and emotional health. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life. I strongly believe that a successful therapeutic experience is built on a foundation of trust, empathy and a collaborative relationship. Together, we can build the skills and strategies you need to overcome challenges and achieve your personal goals.
THE LIVING PONO APPROACH
in life, Pono stands for righteousness and balance
In Hawaiian, if a person is living Pono, it means that they have struck the right balance within themselves, with other things, places, and the people in their lives.
We take that same approach when helping you to grow.
